Classic Rock Revisited.com, the brainchild of Jeb Wright, first hit the internet in 1999.  Wright, who had no experience in journalism or running a website, took it upon himself to bring a Classic Rock Magazine to the online world.  Now, ten years and millions of hits later, Classic Rock Revisited.com has become a major media outlet for the Classic Rock music community.  Each month, the website features in-depth, exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names to ever take the stage.

In 2009, Classic Rock Revisited.com will celebrate their 10th year online.
To commemorate their first decade of rock 'n' roll, the first in a series of books will be released featuring some of the biggest names Wright has ever interviewed.  These interviews are only available here and are no longer available at Classic Rock Revisited.

Series 1: Stadium Rock features the following in-depth interviews:
Aerosmmith's Joe Perry * Paul Rodgers * Sammy Hagar * Ted Nugent  * Steve Miller * Kansas * Steve Perry of Journey  *  Foghat * Foreigner  *  Boston's Tom Scholz * REO Speedwagon  and Dennis DeYoung of Styx

Wright, who has been published around the globe, in popular Rock magazines including Classic Rock in the UK, This is Rock in Spain and Goldmine in the USA, has a unique interviewing style that gets the stars to open up and talk about their music, their life and their creative endeavors.

The forward to the book was written by Goldmine Editor Peter Lindblad who states this book is "a fascinating read from cover-to-cover, Wright's collection of interviews will give you a new appreciation for the blood, sweat and tears that went into making each of the artists the monsters of rock they were, and, in many cases, still are. Get ready for a wild ride."

The artwork for the cover of From the Vault: Series 1: Stadium Rock was created by renowned album cover artist IOANNIS of Vivid Images Design.  IOANNIS has designed album covers for Blue Oyster Cult, the Allman Brothers, Styx, Deep Purple and many others.

From the Vault: Series 1: Stadium Rock is like owning a piece of Rock History!

ROLLING STONE 100 GREATEST SINGERS OF ALL TIME

#55 Paul Rodgers
"His voice is so tough and so masculine," says Alison Krauss, who grew up a big fan of Paul Rodgers, "he might as well be standing there with a gun while he's singing." With his throaty, impeccably controlled roar, Rodgers was born to sing over big guitars — which he did again and again, most notably with pioneering rockers Free and the Seventies hitmaking machine Bad Company. From "All Right Now" to "Can't Get Enough," his combination of macho blues power and melodic sensitivity still sets the standard for hard-rock frontmen. Rodgers was idolized by the late Freddie Mercury (whom he is now replacing in Queen) and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ronnie Van Zant. "The sound of his voice represents a whole kind of man to me," says Krauss. "Incredibly masculine, sexy, hardworking."

VH1 REPORT - CONGRESS RECOGNIZES PAUL RODGERS’ CONTRIBUTIONS

Even though he’s spent 40 years making music, Paul Rodgers always takes time to help his community out.  Most recently, the Bad Company vocalist worked with The Fender Center’s Kids Rock Free music education program in California.  Through his efforts, the singer helped raise over $200,000 for the program and for his work, he was honored by Congress.  Over the weekend, before a sold-out benefit concert that celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Fender Center, a Congressman presented Rodgers with a proclamation that recognized his philanthropy.  A grateful Paul stated, “Music is the great connector.  It connects us to our emotions and to each other.  Thanks to the U-S Congress for recognizing the value of music.”  Next up for Rodgers is a performance with Queen at the celebration of Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday at London’s Hyde Park on June 27th.

UNITED STATES CONGRESS PRESENTS PAUL RODGERS WITH A PROCLAMATION, FOR HIS WORK WITH “KIDS ROCK FREE” MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM IN CALIFORNIA

Singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers who blasted onto the music scene with the hit "All Right Now" celebrates his 40th year as a recording artist. Rodgers was recently recognized by US Congress for his musical achievements and his philanthropist work with The Fender Center's "Kids Rock Free" Music Education Program in California. Through his efforts, Rodgers has helped raise over $200,000 for the program. The Proclamation was given by member of Congress Ken Calvet and presented to Rodgers, only the 8th person to receive such an honor, by Fender Center board member Jeff Bennett, Saturday, June 14th before a sold-out benefit concert in Corona to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the center. "Music is the great connector,” said Rodgers. “It connects us to our emotions and to each other. Thanks to the U.S. Congress for recognizing the value of music."
Currently, Rodgers is in the UK with Queen readying to perform at the celebration of Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday at London’s Hyde Park on June 27. Rodgers first met Mandela, performing at a South African 46664 concert in 2005 and is proud to continue to support the man and his organization, raising awareness about the impact of AIDS and promotes HIV prevention. "When you consider all of the indignities and injustices that have challenged Nelson Mandela, it's a miracle and a real testament to his fortitude and courage that he can still shine the light of peace. It's typical of the man's humility that on his birthday he should make this huge effort on behalf of other people. This will be one of the highlights of my life."

CANADA'S NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCTS ARE UNDER THREAT...READ WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

Canada's natural health care products are under threat, print off the form below and let your vote be counted.  Please read the article below.

NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCTS ARE UNDER IMMEDIATE THREAT
Many Canadians rely upon natural health products for their health.  These products are endangered and consumers need to act now to save them.  Since 2004 when the Natural Health Product Regulations were introduced, natural health products have been increasingly threatened.  The new Regulations were Health Canada’s response to consumer demands for the government to protect their access to natural health products.  The Regulations have had the opposite effect.  To “legally” sell a health product the new Regulations impose a licensing requirement.  The problem is that 60% of licence applications have failed.  These have been the “easy” applications.  Expectations are that 70-75% of applications will fail.  For the NHP Community this means that 75% of NHP’s we rely upon for our health will become illegal.

This creates the following scenario:

  • 75% of natural health products will become illegal;
  • Illegal products must be voluntarily removed or be subject to Health Canada enforcement;
  • Health Canada has publicly announced it is hiring more enforcement officers and is holding recruitment meetings at universities;
  • Bill C-51 gives Health Canada unprecedented enforcement tools to force natural health products off of the market.

 Bill C-51 reads like a Police State Manual

There has never been a death in Canada caused by a natural health product.  Considering that there are multiple deaths every year by common foods such as peanuts and shellfish, it is clear that natural health products are extremely safe.  When you consider the health benefits of natural health products are extremely safe.   It becomes clear that the real danger in regulating them is to “over-regulate” them off of the market.

Bill C-51 gives Health Canada unprecedented power to take natural health products away from us.

URGENT CALL TO ACTION

Bill C-51 was introduced into the House of Commons on April 8, 2008.  The Bill is not yet law, but will become law unless Canadians act quickly.  It is essential that you let key Members of Parliament know that:

  • You are opposed to the police state powers in Bill C-51;
  • You want them to vote against Bill C-51;
  • You want your access to natural health products protected.

Members of Parliament pay attention to personal efforts by voters you should:

  • Send a hand written letter to
  • Your local member of parliament;
  • Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Tony Clement, the Minister of Health;
  • Phone your local Member of Parliament and the Prime Minister’s Office to voice your concerns.   Stephen Harper’s phone numbers are (613)992-4211 and (403)253—7990.  Tony Clements’s phone numbers are (613)944-7740 and (705)746-9053.  For your local MP’s number go to:  http://webinfo.parl.ca/MembersOfParliament?MainMPsCompleteList.aspx?TimePeriod=Current&Language=E

LIMITED EDITION RE-RELEASE "CUT LOOSE"

Cut Loose/Silver 25th Anniversary Limited Edition
(Original Recording Remastered)

Paul Rodgers name is synonymous with everything that is great about rock and roll. When we began the remastering process, it was difficult not to just sit back and keep on listening to certain tracks over and over again. “Morning After The Night Before” will forever stand as one of his finest recordings ever, plus tracks like “ Fragile” “Talking Guitar Blues”…I mean one after another….pure magic. His voice resonates with all of us, and his songs have become fixtures on many rock and classic rock radio stations across the globe!

Over the years, his vocals and songwriting expertise have brought him much acclaim, and I cannot think of too many fellow superstar musicians that have nothing but the utmost respect for Paul Rodgers and it shows with the following quotes:

"Working with Paul gave me the opportunity to appreciate what an extraordinary vocalist this man really is." - Jimmy Page

"Having now had the privilege to work with Paul it is even more clear to me that Paul Rodgers is the rock/blues voice they all look up to." - Brian May

"From the first time I heard 'All Right Now' I knew this was the voice of someone who would write his own chapter in the book of great rock singers, Paul Rodgers still has the voice that others are measured by and aspire to be compared to." - Paul Stanley

"I believe him to be the voice of rock & roll." - Sully Erna, Godsmack 2007

It is with extreme pride that we are here in 2008 celebrating the re-release of his first solo album CUT LOOSE. But the celebration is two-fold, it is not only the 25th Silver Anniversary of this classic album, it’s also his 40th year as a recording artist! With that in mind, enjoy this newly remastered essential chapter in the Paul Rodgers catalog, now complete with Paul’s lyrics, new photos, memorabilia and other hip elements that will truly enhance your CUT LOOSE experience.

Rock On!
